Living in Voorburg<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Voorburg is one of the oldest places in the Netherlands. The oldest mention of the name Voorburg was found on the goods lists of a Utrecht church between 777 and 866. The place ‘Foreburg’ is on it. ‘Fore’ probably comes from the early Germanic word ‘furha’, which means forest.<\/span><\/p>\n

Despite the fact that much of the rural environment has disappeared, Voorburg has always been able to retain its identity. With the size of a city, but with the quirky character of his village, every Voorburger feels connected. Voorburg has a good living environment with beautiful parks and monumental buildings. Huygenskwartier Voorburg is shopping in an attractive, authentic shopping area. You will find special boutiques and specialty shops for the latest fashion, fun accessories, children’s clothing and daily shopping.<\/span><\/p>\n

There is a weekly market on the Oosteinde every Saturday. You can get fresh food, various delicacies, snacks, flowers, clothing and much more. Nice to combine a day of shopping with a pleasant visit to the market!<\/span><\/p>\n

The shopping area has a wide range of catering establishments. From chic restaurants to cozy (grand) cafes with a relaxed atmosphere. In short, there are plenty of options to enjoy a culinary lunch or dinner while shopping.<\/span><\/p>\n
